| Red Dead Redemption has received Game of the Year honours on many websites, including GameSpot, GameSpy, GameRadar and Gamasutra. Red Dead Redemption was awarded the top spot in Gamasutra's 'Best of 2010' list: "In all, Red Dead Redemption makes our list because it inspires imagination and engagement in players, giving the game a sense of agency and purpose, which is what many (if not all) games aspire to." GameSpy honoured Red Dead Redemption as their Game of the Year, with one editor proclaiming "it wasn't even a debate... Rockstar really hit it out of the park with this game." GamesRadar also awarded it their Game of the Year, calling it "a staggering achievement... combining a gigantic, diverse world with an exacting attention to detail and character." Finally, Red Dead Redemption picked up a pretty impressive haul from Gamespot's yearly awards, most notably Best Action/Adventure Game, Best Atmosphere, Best New Character, Best Original Music, Best Story, Best Voice Acting, Best Writing/Dialogue and Game of the Year. Congratulations to Red Dead Redemption and Rockstar Games. These honours are definitely deserved. |
