Red Dead Redemption has received Game of the Year honours on many websites, including GameSpot, GameSpy, GameRadar and Gamasutra.

Red Dead Redemption was awarded the top spot in Gamasutra's 'Best of 2010' list:
"In all, Red Dead Redemption makes our list because it inspires imagination and engagement in players, giving the game a sense of agency and purpose, which is what many (if not all) games aspire to."

GameSpy honoured Red Dead Redemption as their Game of the Year, with one editor proclaiming "it wasn't even a debate... Rockstar really hit it out of the park with this game."

GamesRadar also awarded it their Game of the Year, calling it "a staggering achievement... combining a gigantic, diverse world with an exacting attention to detail and character."

Finally, Red Dead Redemption picked up a pretty impressive haul from Gamespot's yearly awards, most notably Best Action/Adventure Game, Best Atmosphere, Best New Character, Best Original Music, Best Story, Best Voice Acting, Best Writing/Dialogue and Game of the Year.

Congratulations to Red Dead Redemption and Rockstar Games. These honours are definitely deserved.

British magazine Games TM, travelled to Los Angeles to get a taste of the upcoming L.A. Noire, catch a glimpse of the Depth Analysis studio responsible for the incredible MotionScan technology, and to sit down with members of team behind the game including Team Bondi's Brendan McNamara and Rockstar's Jeronimo Barrera. Below is a little of what they had to say:

"...our conversation with the b-movie actress turns to an interrogation, and we lose interest in philosophising altogether. She just will not co-operate. It's obvious she knows more than she's letting on, and not just from the fact her story has more holes than the proverbial swiss cheese. No, it's obvious because we see it in her inability to make eye contact. Or the way she's shifting from side to side or as her mouth curls up in some form of abject hatred as she hints at a feud between her dodgy husband and a local movie producer. We're used to videogame characters becoming angry, but we're not so much used to joining them... At this point we realise two important facts: the first is that Rockstar has clearly realised the power of its MotionScan technology, and the second is that L.A. Noire is drawing us in hook, line and sinker."
