The Liars and Cheats Pack for Red Dead Redemption
is now available for download to your PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, via
PlayStation Network ($9.99) and Xbox LIVE (800 Microsoft Points)
respectively. This pack massively expands the Red Dead Redemption Free
Roam multiplayer experience with a huge array of new highly-requested
content, including:
Stronghold Competitive Multiplayer Mode
Our take on the popular "Attack & Defend" multiplayer gameplay
variation, which supports up to 16 players on any one of four maps
[Blackwater, Escalera, Fort Mercer & Thieves Landing] and features
some of the most exciting and strategic gameplay of any of Red Dead Redemption's diverse Competitive Multiplayer modes.
Multiplayer Poker and Liar's Dice Games
One of the most fan-requested features comes to Red Dead Redemption
multiplayer. Anywhere from 2-6 players can compete in a variety on
different locations, and all players begin with a $200 daily gambling
allowance. Once you run out, you will have to wait until the next day
before your funds are replenished.
Multiplayer Horse Races
Races support up to 8 players in a cup-style tournament that consists of
anywhere from 3 to 5 races, where mounted combat adds to the
exhilarating thrills of head-to-head racing.
The Explosive Rifle
The Explosive Rifle does exactly what's advertised - It obliterates any
enemy in its path in one powerful shot, with the force of its blast even
knocking down nearby enemies in the process. This devastatingly
destructive weapon is available to use in both single player and
multiplayer, and comes with its own set of challenges.
7 New Gang Hideouts
Posse up and take on the new Hideouts together to level up quickly.
4 New Hunting Grounds
New Hunting Grounds are now visible on the map for all to see, with some of the most action-packed wildlife hunting yet.
Posse Scoring and Leaderboards
Compare stats with other posses and compete to see who are the kings of the Free Roam frontier.

Once you've registered for a PlayStation Network account you can then
scroll to the PlayStation Network icon on your XMB and select
PlayStation Store. The Red Dead Redemption Liars and Cheats Pack is
available from the Add-On section.
TO DOWNLOAD ON XBOX LIVE
Simply go to Xbox LIVE Marketplace with your connected Xbox 360 console
and select the Red Dead Redemption Liars and Cheats Pack from the Game
Add-ons section of Marketplace. Alternatively, you can download the DLC
from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace website
and have it ready and waiting for you the next time you go online with
your Xbox 360 (requires Xbox LIVE Gold Membership for online play).
As anybody that watched the Liars and Cheats Pack trailer
can testify to, the Explosive Rifle does exactly what's advertised - It
obliterates any enemy in its path in one powerful shot, with the force
of its blast even knocking down nearby enemies in the process. The
Explosive Rifle is so destructive, that in order to
balance the sheer power of the weapon, it comes with limited ammunition
and no-lock ability - so you'll need to choose your targets wisely.

In Multiplayer Free Roam,
the Explosive Rifle is earned after completing any of the new Gang
Hideouts with the highest score. It can then be picked up from weapons
crates. There are no additional ammo pickups for the Explosive Rifle
though, and if a player holding an Explosive Rifle dies in Free Roam,
then the weapon is lost.
The new Stronghold Competitive Multiplayer mode, part of the Liars and Cheats Pack
as well, allows players to obtain the Explosive Rifle by cracking safes
on certain maps. Unlike in Free Roam however, if a player dies while
carrying the Explosive Rifle, other players can retrieve it in these
matches.

In single player, the Explosive Rifle is available for purchase from
the gunsmith in Blackwater, and has a series of challenges to complete
that will also earn you the 'Master Exploder' Achievement/Trophy.
Witness for yourself the firepower of this truly awe-inspiring armament,
with a few brand new exclusive screenshots below, including a
before-and-after treatment that illustrates how one of Marston's enemies
meets his untimely end at the hands of the Explosive Rifle (these
screens are age gated and Flash is required).
In addition to Multiplayer Poker, Liar's Dice and Horse Races, as well as the new Stronghold Competitive Multiplayer mode and devastatingly destructive Explosive Rifle, the Liars and Cheats Pack for Red Dead Redemption also features a collection of new Gang Hideouts and Hunting Grounds.
At each of the 7 new Gang Hideouts (Critchley’s Ranch, Crooked Toes,
Cueva Seco, Rancho Polvo, Scratching Post, Venter’s Place and
Warthington’s Ranch) players can posse up and take down swarms of
enemies. After each hideout is cleared, the player with the highest
score will gain access to the Explosive Rifle.
4 New Hunting Grounds are also a part of the Liars and Cheats Pack. With waves of aggressive animals and a new scoring mechanic, these are
perfect for an impromptu Free Roam hunting party. These new grounds
(Broken Tree, Del Lobo, Roca Madera and Silent Stead) are marked with a
bullseye on the map.

The Liars and Cheats Pack for Red Dead Redemption features the debut of Multiplayer Poker and Liar's Dice, another of the most requested free roam additions to the multiplayer world of Red Dead Redemption.

In Multiplayer Poker, 2-6 players can compete in Armadillo, Beecher's
Hope, Casa Madrugada, MacFarlane's Ranch or Thieves' Landing. The
initial buy-in varies depending on your choice of location, with
MacFarlane's Ranch being the lowest and Beecher's Hope being the
highest.

Liar's Dice can be played with 2-6 players in Casa Madrugada,
Escalera and Thieves' Landing. Similar to Poker, Liar's Dice buy-ins
will vary depending upon location. Escalera is the lowest buy-in while
Thieves' Landing is the highest.
